please tell me how to allow a range of ip address from accessing my file server in windows server 2003

Hi Sudiphans,

What doubt you have in installing server security updates? You can first check for relevant security updates & patches for your OS. Download & run Microsoft Baseline Security Advisor (MBSA tool) and check which patch or security update you need to download. Same for Windows 2008 and 2008 R2 version.

If you want to deploy updates in client machines enable BITS(Background Intelligent Transfer Services), configure IIS and install WSUS.
