first try this :
first run ccleaner, ur av and ur anti-spy in SAFE MODE.
reboot.
then run sfc /scannow (Windows system file checker that replaces corrupt Windows system files) Pput your XP cd in the rom drive, cancel auto run, start > run > type in sfc /scannow
if it helps fine;
else go to Start->Settings->Control Panel->Administrative Tools, and click on "Event Viewer".
The Event Viewer utility will allow you to review your system and application log files. Double-click on any error/warning entries you find that might relate to the problem.

Click on Performance and Maintenance.
Click on System.
Then click on the Advanced tab.
Click on the error-reporting button on the bottom of the windows.
Select Disable error reporting.
Click [OK] [OK]

Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PCHealth\ErrorReporting
Modify/Create the Value Name according to the Value Data listed below.
Data Type: REG_DWORD [Dword Value] // Value Name: DoReport
Value Data: [0 = Don’t Send Reports / 1 = Do Send Reports]
Exit Registry and Reboot
