    Hey guys,
I'm about to buy another external drive (already have a LaCie 160GB Rugged disk; pretty satisfied). I'm confused between Seagate and WD. Which one is more reliable?

Buy one that is cheaper. I think seagate ones come with metal enclosure now which makes them much stronger. (am talking about 2.5" freeagent go). It doesn't matter as long as you don't subject the HDD to extreme conditions :)

I think seagate is better option due to its metal casing... I got one just few days ago...

Whichever is cheaper as desiibond said! It is not like there is a huge performance difference.

look wise & performance wise WD Rocks (my opinion) i have been usin WD 250 My Passport since Nov 2k8, no issues so far...good data transfer speed than Transcend abt 35MBPS for WD and 18MBPS for Transcend. If u are a rough user go for Seagate
