Sata to IDE

Guys are there any converters through which we can connect an IDE drive to a sata system. If yes then is it easily available in india?

you can either use cheap ~rs.120 converter which may or may not work or you can buy a pci sata/ide card which will definitely work but costs ~350 & you can't use it as a boot drive.

^^ +1 ...the cheap ones are purely luck based.The local shopkeepers will tell you upfront that they offer no replacement if the item is a dud.
