Sata hdd booting slowing

Hi,


I have installed a 40 gb sata hdd in a via p4m800 pm8m-v main board
but after loading xp with sp 2 booting process is taking to long the
can anybody help ?????????????

How long does it take? It's normal for it to take upto a minute at the most. How much RAM do you have? And processor speed?
XP SP2 normally loads slower than XP because of the supposed increase in security.

Its a common problem for SP2, with the added Firewall and securities.
