I recentlly purchased a software from Manupatra info. One of their engineer came to my home and tried to install the software in three different machines (I totally have four computes) and it installed but it wouldn't open. However on the fourth system it installed and worked perfectly fine.

What could be wrong guys??

All systems are running XP/SP2 with same configurations. But, only that system where it worked has no LAN or net connection. Other systems have LAN and Shared internet connection. Could that be the problem?

I tried unplugging the lan, disabling most services, ending all tasks and even then the software wouldnt work. It kind of irritates me when it works fine in one system but not in others. Could anyone help me?

if we had the perticuler software then it would have been posible for us to say... (hay, i know i shouldnt speak for all of us...)

as u say the its a custom made software then its better to ask the company which programmed it... they will answer far better that us... (again, i know i shouldnt speak for all of us..)..

also we may wait for other members answer.... :D

I assume the hardware is exactly same on all 4 PCs.
But, which software is that? What are the software requirements for that. Try to get the list of external components it uses from your vendor. Check if they exists on your computer.
You say software does not work... what does that mean exactly? Does it show any error?
Does that software need networking components? or does it use LAN card for registration?
XP installs networking components by default.
If you can not give detailed info, nobody can help you...
