Hi Guys
I have TP-Link Router 3G/4G Wireless N Router TL-MR3420 - Welcome to TP-LINK .
I am planning to buy a Gigabit Switch TP-Link 10/100/1000 Mbps 5 Ports Gigabit Desktop Switch (TL-SG1005D) - Buy @ Rs.1445/- Online | Snapdeal.com
I have NAS setup at home which currently has 4PCs connected to LAN ports of Router and few devices on Wifi. The output of modem is connected to WAN port in Router. At the moment all my devices share the internet and have access to NAS. My PC's use static IPs while devices on Wifi use DHCP.
The above config gives me 10MB/s transfer speed on NAS. This is due to 10/100Mbit LAN on Router. I want to use the Gigabit Switch to increase the speed of transfer on my PCs connected using LAN.
Now the problem is how to share internet. I want to know how will I connect the Modem, Router and switch ?
Will it be Modem===>Router===>Switch OR Modem===>Switch===>Router
Please explain me.
Thanks
