HP Pavilion G6-2313AX if You want decent GPU. Processor should be enough for most of the tasks.
Has decent battery life, HDD performance is similar/better to its competitors

But i am not sure about the battery life of HP because i heared from some people that the bettery life of hp is not good in long run.
In flipcart it is showing arround 3hrs and where as with lenovo it is 5hrs.

Yeah well you see battery life should not be much of a problem as you can always carry a second battery. Concentrate on Specs for now. HP battery life is pretty good in this case, See the respected thread about this laptop for more info. No one is complaining much about the battery life and you can ask the members you are currently using it. Its the best that you can get with your money right now.

+1 to g6-2313.. a10 processor>i3.
if on a tighter budget then 2314 can be expected to be a hew thousand lesser in price. and u sacrificing 10% processing power of a10.

don't go for any battery life stated in flipkart. those are manufacturer stated battery life and real life battery backup will be different. With HP 2313AX, it'll cap out at around 4hrs unless you dim brightness to 0% which should add another 1hr. With the lenovo it'll be more but you lose the GPU. And battery degrades with time. practice better battery management and it'll last for many years.

lastly, instead of Lenovo go for Dell 15R. Battery backup won't be any better than HP but build quality is. In case you can spend 1k more, HP Pavilion G4-2049TX. More processing power and light weight than 2313AX but less HDD space, less ram and smaller display.
