Render Farm Ideas????

Hi digiters
I need ur help regarding building a render farm at home,
i need it for 3d rendering, i have two amd X6 (6 core) machines and one
core 2 duo which i use for rendering, the main criteria here is to have as many
cores in one single setup as possible (I know Intel xeon servers are ideal but
they are out of budget.....

i build one amd x6 system for just 16500 which is a good budget for one six core machine, my problem is i dont have a lot of space at home to house eight to ten machines, can i build multiple rendering nodes in one single cabinet or are there cheap dual amd cpu motherboards so 12 cores can come in one machine but with very limited budget....

Pls share any knowledge about these things ....

I remember a 12 core AMD CPU sell for lesser than 500$, but no idea if it's available here.

Well, you can have something like this:

Phenom II X6 1055T @ 8k
MSI 880GM-E35 @ 3.5k
Corsair Vengeance 4GB @ 2k
FSP Saga II 500W @ 2k

Total = 15.5k

yes the config is good and cheap
but i was thinking if i could put two amd X6 on one motherboard
so one system can house 12 cores of processing
is this possible and what mobo is available for dual amd X6
can anyone suggest or there are none ?????
