I bought a New HP Pavillion Lap, it has 80gb hdd with two partioned (C & D Drive)
their i found it has 6gb of space reserved in Drive D:
it shows that it has some HP recovery software installed
i means if i have some data loss by any reason i can recover that data bcoz it has some amt. of space reserved in drive D for data recovery

Now i want to make that same type of Partion in my Desktop PC which has 40 GB HDD
& 4 partitioned C,D,E,F,
i want to make drive F (which is of 9gb) as like it is in My Lap
How can i do this, or where can i find that soft., or same soft like that
bcoz it is very useful & needful to protect data loss

Pls help................

Yes u can surely use it n its very useful too.
Just use Norton Ghost(Ver 10 currently) or Acronis Disk Image(i think m naming it right)
Use them n keep an image of ur fresh installation with windows(completely tuned with proper sevices), office n all other software like antivirus, anti-spyware with latest updates on a partition n use it anytime when ur system becomes clogged n starts moving at snail's pace. ;)

@satyamy I've a HP laptop too (DV8210us). You can burn that to a DVD using the "Recovery Disc creator" that comes bundled with HP laptops. Once you have the DVDs burnt just remove that parition.

If u just want the right software for recovering files I think GetDataBack is best in it.
