Instead of a 1 GB RAM stick, go in for 2*512 MB stix....u shall get better performance....Make Corsair, Kingston...Approx price Rs. 3500

As for a HDD.....Go in for an 80/160 GB SATA frm Seagate or Hitachi......Shall be costlier.....Arnd Rs. 3000 to 3300

Else go in for the PATA HDD...shall be cheaper

You must be joking, How can you possibly say that two sticks of 512 MB DDR RAM can give you more performance.

Let it be One GB or two 512 MB, it all adds up to One GB, you get the same performence.

C'mon mate...No hard feelings, but u shud have realised that when I wrote that piece of info, there was some reason for it. Theres something called as "Dual Channel" mode for RAM in a PC. For more info plz read this post:

And one more thing, before questioning someones knowledge, plz think twice....Will help you become a better person...
