Ram Advice

Hello Sire
I Am building anew rig for myself. The Components i've decided to purchase are

Intel Core i5 2400
Intel DH67CL
WD Caviar Blue 500GB
Bitfenix Merc Alpha/NZXT Source 210

I require some assistance on the Ram Config. I need 8GB Ram (Want to run Dual Channel) . So should i go for 2(4GB) sticks of Corsair Value select or 2(4GB) stick of Vengance because my mobo supports speeds only upto 1333Mhz. Also what should be the Timings? 8-8-8-24 or 9-9-9-24

Get the value select RAM, because corsair vengeance will automatically underclock to 1333 Mhz if used with DH67CL. 8-8-8-24 is better than 9-9-9-24.

It is a really nice RAM Module at its price TAG.

Performance difference between CL8 & CL9 RAM of any frequency is negligible.

^^ You are right. There is difference but not a noticeable difference.

So there is difference always but only a little bit as there is change in the frequency.

Ok Corsair Value Select it is then.
I Will be getting two sticks of 4GB Each with timings of 8-8-8-24

Value select RAM is only of CL9. No CL8 value select RAM exists.

after getting the ram module you can manually set the timings to experiment with them and see if you can get your desired 8-8-8 or even better
