Question Regarding VPS

many times digitians help me.

presenting you a another trouble.

i have purchased a VPS server with 4gb webspace(Os: Debian with webmin) and transferred a vbulletin forum there.

i heard somewhere that we can host multiple websites on a VPS, i asked my host provider they say yes for this. and they gave me a tutorial posted below..

[B][U]Create a domain or sub domain using Webmin[/U][/B]


1)  Make the folder on your file system for the domain or sub domain's document root.

Normally document root will normally look like this:

/home/youruser/public_html/folder

2)  Log into [B]Webmin[/B]

3)  Choose [B]Servers[/B]

4)  Choose [B]Create Virtual Host[/B]

5)  Fill in the '[B]Document Root[/B]' with the same path you created on the file system in stage 1.

6)  Click the check box in [B]Server Name[/B]

7)  Fill in the [B]Server Name[/B] box with the domain or sub domain you are wishing to add, for example:

mywebsite.com   

(Do not add www or http to this)

[IMG]*byet.org/images/webmin-add-domain.jpg[/IMG]


8)  Clear your computers DNS / restart browsers 

9)  [B]Resart the web server[/B] and test your domain.


[B][U]If you do not restart the webserver, the domain will not be configured![/U][/B]

i purchased a new domain and do above. and set the name servers like my site no. 1.

but nothing happened.. my site 2 still not working.

what to do now? please guide me like a tutorial i am a newbie.

I recommend take a nice control panel, instead of webmin, you can take directadmin with your VPS, it will be very easy to create new domain with directadmin.
