Right off the assembly line
So I have a q6600 processor and I have the program coretemp. Each core idles around 36-39c and maxes at around 45c. The problem is that it's showing that it's running at 1596.81 mhz all the time. The computer is about a month old and when I first started using it it went back and forth from 1596.81mhz to the actual speed of 2.4 or whatever. Now it's just stuck on 1596.81. Is this normal? What is going on? I haven't overclocked anything and the voltage is set at 1.325

Intel OCer
^Get into your bios and disable something called intel EIST...that should bring back the multiplier to normal....Its just a power saving feature by intel which underclocks the procy when there is no load...load the procy using prime95 or something and then it will jump bak to 2.4Ghz.
