I wanted to know what tools I could use, that are as powerful if not more that jcreator in Windows, but in Linux. I haven't settled on a distro yet.

Anyways, please help me out.

I've not used jCreator, but you must definitely check out Eclipse (Its a cross platform IDE) if you want an IDE like thing. Any distro, Eclipse runs on Java itself.

You might also try NetBeans.

Eclipse is the most flexible JAVA IDE.

Netbeans is officially supported by Sun but nonetheless try above one.
