problem with pdf to doc conversion

hi all...

i have a pdf document.. and when i try to copy the text from that file, some greek n latin charecters are appearing instead of text.. I checked the file security settings of that pdf file.. "content copying and file extraction: Allowed" the permissions are granted for copying..

still, i m not able to copy.. I have tried several pdf to doc converters but in vain.. any other way to extract??

pls help.. its urgent..

Nothing wrong with ur pdf file. Just copy the text from it, paste in Microsoft Word and change the font to Arial or whatever u want.

ya... i tried all the possiblities.. but same text appears..

Wind has two aspects. The first - a benefitial one

re-obtain the pdf .... try to re-print it using a pdf printer such as pdf995 and chk it

Just download Solid PDF Converter & install it. Now using it, u can convert ur PDF file in document (text) format.

Might b possible that ur pdf file is corrupted.

Ya! mAV3 is right. Use Adobe Acrobat Reader

i m using adobe acrobat reader 7.0.5

the view of pdf file in acrobat reader is gud.. but when i try to copy the text in a particular file, it appears as i posted above...

text from other pdf files i have are being copied as it is..

even i tried opening clipboard.. but no use.. clipboard too contains same rubbish..

i suppose the pdf file is some way encrypted.. but i see that permissions for extracting and copying are allowed for that pdf..

May Be the font is embedded in the pdf file which is not present in your system. see the file's properties to make sure

Can you upload the PDF file here so that someone from us can do the needful for you and also find out whats going wrong and where?

Possibly, you can try downloading Acrobat Professional trial version, opening the document for editing and then changing font settings, trying to copy and paste...
