Hi, I'm having XP Home SP2 for the last 2 yrs but did never experience such a peculiar problem. It happens like, in my monitor, if I want increase or decrease the brightness or contrast I would press the buttons of the monitor & can adjust as I wish. But for the last few days I'm seeing that, the onscreen display (i.e. the display we see after pressing those buttons) appears in the monitor on its own and keeps on coming and disappearing continuously. (I'm not sure whether my problem is made clear or not) In the Device Manager I've checked the status of Monitor n in the Properties therein it shows the 'device is working properly'. This gives a lot of troubles in my working. Would you please suggest me something to fix it?

Mus be a problem within the monitor...
Onscreen displays of the monitor isn't in d control of the OS...
Mus be a problem with some chips/ICs inside...
Wat brand is dat??? Check d warranty/AMC n get an authorised service personnel n get it checked... Dun mend with it by urself...

Take it to the repair shop.....it's a common problem with aging monitors..... probably some loose solder or the switch contacts gone bad.
