Clean the contacts of battery and also of mobo socket of battery. U can use alcohol dipped soft cloth for this.

See if does not solve with ^^^^ above ^^^^^solution...and if this persist then it could be a motherboard problem...the capacitors on mobo are taking up the battery power...u will need to reapir ur mobo..soon...very soon

Back to School Mr. Bean !
Just enter your BIOS, set the date, change other settings, save and exit. It should work. I've seen my friends PC which asked me to press F2 on every boot even after replacing the dead battery. After entering the BIOS, changing the settings, saving & exiting the message never came back !

me 2 had the prob.. in fact have it yet... but got used to it... might b motherboard prob.. mine freezed 6 months back. Repaired... this prob comes up now & again.... If it doesn't go on batteryreplacement... 90% chances of prob not bein battery. Motherboard gonna crash pretty soon, bro...
