If the change of the UPS doesn't work, I have to-have to change the monitor

I suggest you to get an 800VA normal or online UPS. In that case there wud be no problem even if u add a G card, HDD, optical drive, printer, or speakers.

There wud be problem with an 500VA at powercuts only at times of load like gaming
or some animation worx

I have APC 650 VA and APC is one of the best in maintaining constant current and voltage.And please check the rig it supports(my sig)

Yes, APC is surely a gud brand. But yours is a 650VA version and uve got 19" wide LCD which goes max upto 33w but a 19" flat CRT cud go upto 120w.

C2D, DDR2, etc consumes far less power than P4,DDR.

And what if he buy an 500VA one any it cudn't support the load??
So he should get at least an APC 650VA or better orelse he'wd have to change his monitor also and the total cost wud be a bomb.
