Bought Sony k810 from Siddharth Infotech (4, Madan Street) for Rs. 11700 (with default 128 MB memory) Nikky(14, C.R. Avenue) quoted Rs. 11800 for the same so I made "sau rupiya ka bachat" :D .

Price with 2GB memory is Rs. 12950

The crystal like one I bought for only for eye-candy - it's now staying idle in my tool box for future use.

The black one & solder I bought for to make usb-moble charger :D
Will post abt it later.

Re: Post what you purchased.

Hi Guys...........
After a looooong research and ur tremendous support I've succeeded to buy the following system.
Thanks to specially ChotoCheetah......... I bought AbiT board only for his comments and further research revealed the truth abt it.

The Specs are as follows.......
Intel Quad Core Q6600 2.4GHz-----------09636/-
Abit IX38 QuadGT-----------------------11153/-
160GB Sata Seagate Hdd(Internal)-------01950/-
Samsung 203B DVD writer----------------01125/-
AOC-917VW 19" LCD---------------------08701/-
GSkill 4GB 800 MHz Ram------------------04423/-
CoolerMaster 600w SMPS----------------03028/-
APC 650 VA UPS-------------------------03028/-
EVGA 8800GT Akimbo 512MB-DDR3--------13701/-
ThermalRight Ultra 120 Extreme-----------02451/-
TVS Gold keyboard-----------------------01298/-
Logitech Optical Mouse-------------------00336/-
NZXT Alpha Black-------------------------02403/-
Fan for CPU Cooler------------------------00769/-
500GB Maxtor External HDD----------------04471/-

Total costed me 70k something.......
Bought from PrimeABGB@Lamington road. This I found a good shop as they provide some good value. The best thing I found is that they have some parts in display in the shop which are not knownt to some shop owners in the street, like the ThermalRight 120 Extreme and EVGA Card.
One bad thing is that they couldn't provide me the Dell 1918FP monitor and I had to shift to AOC. I've heard AOC is a good company, just wish me luck.

One more favour I need from u guys............some Good overclocking ref as I'm totally new in the OC field.

I bought those coz I've got one spare nokia 1600 with charger at my hand for test. Actually I got this idea from feb or march issue of digit 2007 :D
They've used sony erricson.

I've cut down the nokia spare charger & that usb cable, soldered them but I'am getting not charging error :(I followed the guide by whre they said it can charge any 3.6v lion battery from usb but nokia 1600 battery is 3.7v

But I'am happy that at least i've tried :D - will do some experiment later & post the result on a separate thread :D

Re: Post what you purchased.

For processor - go for the q9300 - it's around 15-20 % faster than q6600 and is 45nm - which means low haet & electricity consumption.

For HDD I would recomend 250 GB or 500 GB.

[ one offtopic question }
Whay I can't see any avatar after the forum upgrade !
Am I only experiencing this problem only or other members have the same problem ?

Re: Post what you purchased.

Hey man! looks like Q6600 plays more value for money, i didn't noticed that Q9300 is almost 2300/- costlier than Q6600. So u can have Q6600 and a good cooler like thermalright 120 so u can easily solve heating issue. But power consumption is still a problem.
