Don't say. They are not giving out any coupon on books and from their business model, it never looked like they are closing down. No comparison should be made between HS18 & Flipkart as Network 18 owns a versatile business and HS18 is just a part of it. Whereas flipkart owns nothing other than the site.

Flipkart packaging was awesome, not a single dent on the box, but when they delivered it I told the courier guy that I won't sign unless I inspect the seal, he declined firmly and said they never tamper with the seal, so I took him for his word as the packaging was solid, I was having doubts cause by gawd that was a very light package, the entire box weighted less than my Nokia 5800, I was afraid that when I take it up I'd see a empty box, well:

Well halo, I never knew these things run on batteries, well well, mobile music FTW:

First impressions:

Pros:
1. Size aka portability.
2. Runs on batteries, rechargeable, claims 12hrs.
3. High volume, certainly better than cheap intex speakers.
4. Nice separation in mid/high range, the highs hit the right place(for a mobile speaker that is).

Cons:
1. Low, i.e bass sucks, no bass.
2. Plays well with equalizer only if you know how to configure it, I tried a jazz profile, the sound gave me a massive headache with sharp beats, not bassy but sharp.

That's it.

Now, worth 3.2k as a mobile speaker? Absolutely.
As a speaker(desktop)? Nope, stay away.
