i plan 2 own a 8600GT. either de XFX or de Asus Silent one, jus wanted 2 knw if de Silent one really makes a difference, cuz i prefer a quite pc. duz de XFX fan make a ruckus inside?
n can i plz knw de price of both of 'em in hyderabad?

I purchased a Speed Link Gamepad for 10 Euro in Netherlands (Rs. 550). It has two joysticks and standard buttons with force feedback. It also has a macro function to program 4 buttons with a sequence of commands.
Before purchasing, I was playing Tomb Raider Anniversary wherein I was not able to defeat the first Boss i.e. T-Rex with mouse and keyborad. But with this Gamepad... I knocked him down in first go!!

1.9k for the Transcend is a bit high. When I went to Richie last week, the 610 1 GB was quoted as 1.7k incl. taxes. Is yours the 610 or the 630?

^^ the prices r high but not WAY TOO HIGH.. He cd hav got the ram in 2.2k and the mobo proccy in 9.4k and the hdd in 2.6k.. A margin of 1k is ok

Aww!! hurts to hear that!!
But well nothin much to do.. I did my part of researching b4 I bot it.. and thats the best price I got. In fact, that was the only vendor who cud provide each and every component.
Plus I've worked with this vendor for the past 6yrs and I get really good service from him. Anytime something conks-off..I just put it in the box and drop it at the shop and he gets it repaired/replaced.
Please suggest a vendor who wud gv better prices in kolkata..just for future reference.

Samsung SCX-4100 Laser MFD Rs. 7,750 Navdeep Computers, Lamington Rd.

Pros: Much sharper prints than inkjet, scan to OCR
Cons: Slow scanning, large 3-pin socket (discovered only after I got home and had to go and buy an adaptor socket for it), USB 1.1 only
