^^congrats mate. why does this look a bit boxy in the image? :)

Yeah seems boxy. Appears to be resized without keeping the aspect ratio. The image has a widescreen monitor but it doesn't appear so on looking on the image.

Congrats.

^^ does the above monitor also give 1920x1200. Then what is the difference in DELL 24" which also gives 1920x1200 also. Is it just the 1" hypotenuse difference, or is it something else.

Sorry am a noob regarding monitors.

No, it gives only upto 1920x1080. 1920x1200 is 16:10 while 1920x1080 is 16:9, so 1920x1200 has a bit higher pixel count(vertically) than the 1920x1080 one, that's the only difference.

But 16 : 10 ratio monitors reduce FPS in games more above 20%

thats y HD monitors 16:9 which they bring SIZE + FPS , but the pixel density & clarity on games which is good in 16:10

Less 20% with reference to what..?

Why would this happen..?
Less than 20% to 1920x1080, this will happen as 1920x1200 monitor has higher no of pixels than 1920x1080, so more pixels mean less performance, that's all.

Yea, ok..got it...but this fails right if someone has enough GPU power to render the 1920x1200 easily.

If we go by the above hypothesis, then upgrading monitors always means...loosing performance, but we compensate with better CPU/GPU.

^^of course, going for a better monitor always results in loss in fps. And a better GPU means more load on PSU, which means that if you upgrade monitor and current GPU can't drive it, you may need to upgrade GPU+PSU.
