praka123, i am sorry to ask this, but how is it possible to take arrear exams still?? Isn't there a limit like 12 semesters or so (max, with normal being 8)??

I am from Nagercoil myself (my father from Tirunalveli), moved to chennai in 1995. My father has no scent of Tirunalveli "culture" of cutting anyone who comes in your way with extreme violence thankfully and I am no part of it :D And I remember vaguely these incidents.
