BSD init pwns System V
This is a new thread, it will provide details about the various devices on which we are running our FOSS OS (Linux, BSD etc). Please post full details in the following format :-
Distribution :- Fedora 12 (32-bit, ext4)
Processor :- AMD Phenom II X3 720 BE @ 2.8 GHz (running fine)
Motherboard :- Biostar TA790GXBE (all ports working)
Graphics :- ATI Radeon HD 3300 (3D via mesa drivers)
Monitor :- AOC F22 21.5" LCD @ 1920x1080 (full res detected)
Sound :- Realtek ALC 662 5.1 sound card (working)
Printer :- HP LaserJet 1018 (working via HP-plugin)
Highlight anything that is not working out-of-box in RED colour.
Distribution :- FreeBSD 8.0 (64-bit)
Processor :- AMD Phenom II X3 720 BE @ 2.8 GHz (running fine)
Motherboard :- Biostar TA790GXBE (all ports working)
Graphics :- ATI Radeon HD 3300 (auto-detected, no hardware acceleration)
Monitor :- AOC F22 21.5" LCD @ 1920x1080 (full res detected)
Sound :- Realtek ALC 662 5.1 sound card (working)
Printer :- HP LaserJet 1018 (not working)
It will prove a small help to the fellow FOSS users on our forum. If you can rectify a non-working device then please update your post and also tell how you made it to work.
