^^^ yes. I never tried iRiver and used players from creative and apple. I felt Creative are the better ones and I suggested the same.

Not much brand mark in India for iRiver. That is why I think it didn't come in discussion.

Yeah that's true, I guess. But it sure is an iPod killer.

Even Cowon is good.

Yes. there are much better players compared to ipod like Cowon, Archos, Toshiba Gigabeat, Creative. Lot more features, better music quality but only Creative has good support and product infra in India apart from Apple.

Reason for ipod's success is it's ease-of-use, itunes+ipod ecosystem and brand value.
