Plugin not showing

I have downloaded lots of them...but can't use them. I have decompressed and put them in the plugin folder under photoshop.....till the filters are not shown under the filter menu. what to do?

are you sure u have downloaded the rite version for ur version of Pshop ?

coz sometimes its not compatible with other versions.
