That year old SOC is still amongst the best performers in the market. S600 is not a giant leap forward and the GPU is essentially the same.

Overpriced - Yes

Battery life is not too shabby either. :)

Democracy is a myth
I was too keen to buy Xperia Z. But reviews point out that it has some heating issue. Well, my fcuked up SGS with 4.2.2 upgrade heats up too and all Android devices have this heating issue.
But, how bad is it for Xperia Z?

And, SGS4 is too having this weird issue of lagging and frequent crashing! WTF is that? Are all these just rumors?

Do you guys have any idea on these?

AFAIK almost all devices heats up.
yeah S4 got lagging issues because of that TouchSh!t .

Xperia Z does heat up, but much less than the S4. You can literally cook omelet on the S4 :p

And yes, there are some issues with S4.

With the Z the issues are - not too loud speaker, bad viewing angles, not great WIFI reception, 4.2.2 a month away. Screen has been fixed with the recent update. Camera as well.

So, irrespective of budget (i.e. if we consider both these devices cost same)

SGS3+4.2.2 vs Xperia Z+4.2.2

which seems good?

Keeping in view custom ROM and rooting SGS seems a good choice.

Personally I willl never go for samshit !! Plastic crap. Sold my S3 for numerous reasons. [My opinion only]
