Please review my website design and content (South Park Summaries)

Hi everyone.
I've been experimenting with web design lately. I just built this page to test my css skills. The content comprises of a few summaries of South Park episodes.

For those who don't know, South Park is one of the best comedy shows made in US, created by perhaps the world's best satirists: Matt Stone and Trey Parker. The social commentary and comedy is top notch. Highly Recommended!

it's cool but need lot more work to look snappy.

Just say what you think about it. Do you thinks ugly? or too cartoonish. are there too many colours, should the palette be diff, are the shapes annoying etc that kinda stuff.

Well done. The HTML is clean too.
The only thing I could try and see how it looks by reducing the transparency a little bit. Reading the text at the brighter parts is not so much fun.
