^^R u really gonna buy all the games for XBox 360?Moreover there r some games which aint launched for XBox like God of War.Somehow I think a PC with 6850/6870 wud b a better option for ya!Anyways do let us know wat u decide on!!

Just get a simple 22" LCD Monitor and use something like THIS.

He would still need hdmi to vga adaptor. If that is available at all.

Guys I think I'll go with the XBox 360 + monitor/TV plan.
Seems to me that i get more VFM and also more future proof hardware.

@redlofredlof Dude I want to keep the PC and Tv separate thus no use selling I the old CRT.

@Not all games but some at least which I like.I can live with not being able to play some games.

@Ishu Gupta Good Idea thanks but I would have to use separate speakers.Don't you think its better to use the inbuilt speakers in the TV.

If you are talking about the monitor speakers then you wont be having much fun cause the monitor speakers are not very powerful. Keep in mind that xbox can play all games made for it even if it does not have a harddisk. Secondly the motherboard suggested is a very good one and its onboard graphics card is not bad either.
