What the hell are you doing with three same posts in 3 minutes?
I don't know any dl/df sony writers, but if I am right, I am not sure you will find one as sony backs blu-ray and not hd dvd.

i guess he means a dual layer/dual format writer,so that would be the DRU-810A.

it may be dual layer double side (the 18 gb ones). May be. BTW, My Sony DWQ30A supports it for sure.

By DF, I assume that he means the dual format dvds. From what I know, df dvds have two layers; one layer hd-dvd compatible and the other ordinary dvd compatible. That's why I said sony won't be interested in making it. Is there any other meaning for Dual Format?

dual format means support for both the '+' and '-' formats.
