I have a movie that was converted using Nero recode 2, this File can only be played on the PC which has a Nero Showtime Player Installed on It.....
I tried ffdshow ( a GPL codec new edition dated 21-12-05)... But Still I am unable to play movie,Though Installing Any Nero Product Just lets the Movie play....(in The Windows Media player itself)...
Is there Any codec pack which will let me play the Movie in Windows Media Player Itself..
Also tell me any software which may convert this file to Divx....
I tried Virtualdub but it doesn't recognizes this File(even with ffdshow installed)......
Also I don't want to use Quicktime Player as it takes whole lot of CPU time to Play Movies Also It is the Worst interface( No Fuillscreen mode :? )..

Let the music play.....
Ok mp4 is the official codec of Quicktime. Believe it or not you cannot use anyother player to play it. I tried all the $hit in this world so that I could not use Qt but no use of anything. You can try Qt alternative but am not sure that it will work. Abt the full screen thingy it depends upon the res in which the movie was encoded if less then less if big then big no thing that Qt doesnt have that resolution,

The file seems to have been encoded in Nero Digital AVC (which happens to be Nero's implementation of MPEG4 AVC (or IEEE code H.264) standard).

Yes, as you've observed rightly, you will need Nero's codecs installed to play it. Install the NeroVision/Recode pack and the video will play in all Directshow compatible players (eg: Windows Media Pl). FFDShow will not decode this file.

PS: Quicktime Player does have a fullscreen mode.

Cheers,

What an irony ?

the Fourcc of the file is MP4V(Just for information) and ffdshow codec is able to play this file in Media Player now...
Now the irony is this that if you uninstall Nero showtime Player, Then this ffdshow Codec will now stop recognizing the file....

Though Thanks 8) for the Information, Will try using K-lite codec pack..
