^^Availability in Asia may not always be equal to availability in India. There are N number of thing available in Japan (which is in Asia) which are not available in India (again an Asian country). Even if it does come to rest of Asia and India the same day, that is still going to be in 2008 not in a few months as you said in reply 35.
Naturally I do have some idea of what I am saying. I hope that I am correct in thinking that iPhone will run a stripped down or as Pathiks said Optimised for mobile phone should be the first point of interaction for a user, if it fails to prevent the cracking of sim lock, well the lesser said the better.
I am not saying if iPhone is good or bad, I am just saying that as long as and even after it does come to India, will be be very popular among the common Indian. indians are just getting used to Symbian bro, it will be hard to make a switch so soon and moreover, how many of the Indian Janta would be even aware of something as iPhone when they do not even know wat an iMac is
Talking about this forum, I see that more people still prefer stand alone Media Players and Se/Nokia phones (purely my observation)
