PEN drive mounting

Fedora core GNOME automatically mounts the pendrive.push in the pendrive and wait for the icon to be in Desktop.in new distros.
ur distro is a lil old.in that case mount as:

~$ su -
give root passwd to get a "#" prompt

~#mount /dev/sdx  /mnt
where sdx is the usb pendrive.check /dev/ for sda,sdb etc
AND Fedora by default dont support ntfs format.

How can i use my pen drive to Format a computer? I want to format my friend's computer whose optical drive is out of order.He wants to install window's vista on it. I tried by copying all the setup files of the vista in my 4GB( Transcend JF- V30; if it matters) pen drive but it didn't the setup didn't start on reboot.What should i do now??
