PCI SATA Card

Right off the assembly line
I have an older AMD system MK77M II Motherboard and my IDE hard disk crashed. My motherboard doesn't have any SATA connector.

Is it fine to buy a SATA PCI card and connect a SATA hard disk? Will i be able to use this SATA disk as primary boot device? If it is possible then can you suggest any PCI cards?

You should be able to use Sata HDD through a PCI card. I can not tell you for sure as I have no experience on it. So wait for others to reply and confirm.
