pc working slowly.....

hi friends....

iam having a desktop of intel chipset 946 gzts motherboard,
intel 3.4 GHz duo processer ,
1 GB ram,
L2 and 2 Mb cache,
160 GB HDD,
LG dvd R+W.

and iam using windows XP SP2 operating system....
but my pc working slowly,while opening pages n movies etc... compare to my friends pc having less configuration.
iam thinking that these problem is due to mother board is not supporting to 3.4GHz duel core processor.
plz any suggest to improve my pc speed, n which mother support to that configuration...

What r u doing man? try empty ur temp & Internet temp, run difrag & remoove some extra fetures from taskbar properties

just reinstall your windows and check again ....see if your mobo has sufficient coolin.
