1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Gaming (Max Payne 3, Mass Effect 3 and other new titles yet to be released)

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 30-35k

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Yes

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Win 7 x64

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: I got about almost 2TB storage in 4 HDDs so not buying them

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: No. I am using Benq G2420HD and i run it at full HD

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: I have HDD, Monitor, Speakers, DVD drive, keyboard and mouse

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: In a week or two

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Never built before but i know assembling so i want to try this time

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Hyderabad (I can order online from flipkart)

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I have a config in mind which i have felt performs well but i dont know overclocking, bottleneck etc., terms so please suggest me better alternative choices if any

My choice
ASUS M5A88-M Motherboard
AMD Phenom II X6 1075T Processor
Corsair Vengeance 4GB 1600MHz
XFX Radeon HD 6790 1GB DDR5
Corsair 600W CX series
NZXT Guardian 921RB Chasis

Currently i'm using Cooler Master Hyper TX3 for CPU cooling so i need suggestions from you ppl if that will suffice or i should get a better one

The suggested graphic card seems to be an overkill for my gaming..

Hey what about CPU cooler? Will the CM Hyper TX3 suffice?

HD 7850 is not overkill for gaming at 1080p. Rig suggested to you by Sainatarajan is good. Don't know much about Hyper TX3. AFAIK, it is more or less equal to the stock cooler provided by AMD. So, Hyper 212 evo is recommended for OCing.

oops i think i have given wrong assumption when i said i want to run at full HD, i'm fine with running at 1280x1024 with settings maxed out (i only meant that i run win 7 at full HD)

HD 7850 can play any game till now @ High to Ultra Settings in 1080P .
@ OP
Do you want to buy a graphic card for 5K ???
HD 7850 is not an overkill @ 1080P .

Also , When the config comes to your Budget , Why dont you go with it. Wait , Till Other Members tell their suggestion.

I can spend till 10k for graphic card.. i'm on a tight budget actually so any component costing over 10k is giving me goosebumps. Thanks for your suggestion :)

Then get MSI GTX 560 (non-Ti) @ 10.5K. I think it is enough for good gaming experience @ 1080P resolution.

Since you are mainly building this rig for gaming and also planning to overclock, I suggest you get a good CPU cooler too. Then you can overclock your CPU to 3.8 to 4 GHz easily which might increase the gaming performance.

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO @ 2.2K is a very good buy. Another option is Deepcool ICEEDGE 400 XT @ 2.1K

Buy HD 7770 then. It is fine for 720p.

It's getting faster with every driver release by AMD.

Keep it. It's fine. :)
