Hi,

I am looking forward to buy an PC with in a month. I am looking some thing in Interl i5 or similar in AMD. The basic purpose of the PC will be programming or sometime gammings :D.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Primarily for programing (sometime running multiple VMs) and gaming.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 20-22K

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Win 8 or Some Linux Destro

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 1TB but preferably 2TB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: No

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Keyboard / Mouse

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Next 4 weeks

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: I will build the same.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Will buy from local market (Pune)

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Ram: 16G

Intel G2010 (4000)
Gigabyte B75M DH3 (4200)
Kingston HyperX 1600 MHz 4 GB (2600)
WD Blue 500 GB (3300)
local cabinet with PSU (1000)
Dell IN1930 (6000)

total: ~22k

> Why do you need 16 GB RAM?

> 16 GB ram will cost ~9k.

@harshilsharma63

As I need to run multiple virtual machines I need more RAM for normal working of both host and guest OS.

But you cannot include it in your current budget. Also, for such task, G2010 will be weak. I recommend you to postpone your purchase and collect some cash. Increase your budget by 5-6k and you can get i3 3220 and Antec VP450p.

for running multiple VMs no. of cores is most important factor followed by ram.AMD FX6300 will be a better option compared to core i3 so save some cash & get AMD based config.
