Hi Everyone ..... ,

Its been years tht i have not logged in THINKDIGIT ... But its gr8 to see so many new changes and so many users now ... :D

Well everywhere i see PC buying guide for GAMING or multi media ...
But i call all the Masters and professionals to get into this and help me choose and modify my old PC ...

i have an old COMPAQ PRESARIO with

Intel Pentium 4
512 mb Ram
NVIDIA GFX 32MB

And i am planing to make a Small Home Studio with this System .

1. What is the purpose of the computer? (Note: If you are planning to say multimedia, you will have to be more specific as all types of systems are capable of doing that)
A: MUSIC PRODUCTION

2. Are you open to alternate ideas/products giving similar better performance but offering more VFM/ sellers? If not- why?
A:i don’t have any idea to this above question

3. What is your MAX budget?
A:20 to 30k

4. Planning to overclock?
A:may be

5. Which OS are you planning to use?
A:windows 7 or above

6. How much hard drive space is needed?
A: 1 TB

7. What resolution will the screen run at & whats the size of the screen you want? If you already want have one and want to use it, mention its resolution and size.
A:Im not worried bout the Screen for now will decide it later .

8. How would you rate your hardware knowledge from the count of 1-10? (1 being the lowest, 5 being you are somewhat in sync with the current performers and 10 being the highest)

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
A:assembler

10. When are you planning to buy the system?
A:like in 4 to 5 months

11. Are you one of the types looking out for "future proof" configurations?

13. Which city do you live in and are you open to buying from shops from other city/states?
A:Gangtok,Sikkim if i don’t get wat i want than ya i will plan to get it from different city/states.

14. Mention any other points if deemed necessary
A : i have already got an old compaq presario and i want to use the same CPU body .

im still waiting for someone to help me in it ...

Then its better if you ask for help 3-4 months later, as prices may fall by then and some new products may become available. So giving help now will be useless. :)
