@OP: Lot of things happen in a month. Products go out of stock, prices change. Best to create a thread 1-2 weeks before the final purchase.

The above config is pretty good. A 500w psu like the corsair GS500 will also do.

well thanks
thts almost 58k...

AMD FX-8350, Intel Core i7-3770 Processor or Intel Core i5-3570k == which is better and worth buying at their respective prices or any other one which at 15k price range and better than this three.

And instead of Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 is there something better like z77 series like ASRock Z77 Extreme4, MSI z77 or ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77, or anything else.

kindly concentrate more on GPU, CPU and motherboard. i can spend 15-17k each on these 3 hardwares.
and adjust the rest.

The configuration given to you is perfect for your budget. if you prefer Intel Ivy bridge Processors like i5 3570K or i7 3770K then you need to get a Z77 Motherboard for it. Asus Z77 Sabertooth is a great board but you can also opt for Asus Maximus V Gene Motherboard which is around 13/14K range.

> i7 3770k is available for around 20k, if you can get it go for it. FX 8350 is the best VFM. Also, a quality Intel's motherboard will cost around 10 - 15 k while you can get a very good AMD's motherboard for 8-9 k.
> M5A97 Evo 2.0 was suggested because the processor was AMD. Z77 chipset is for Intel's cpu.
> i5 xxxx or i7 xxxx will be best for gaming while FX 850 will be good for other applications which you've mentioned.

AMD is a much more cost effective solution and you can check the benches yourself. its almost neck to neck with the i5 3570k

AnandTech - Bench - CPU

save the money and go in for a better GPU. also buy ASAP because $ are going to go up.

Pay Rs 400 extra and get the new generation DELL S2240L an IPS panel over the old TN panel you have chosen.

Better get a Toshiba DT01ACA100 1TB with 3years of warranty than the Seagate which has 1 year warranty bad RMA service in case of a failure.

I dont believe in Vantage for HDDs. And 3 years warranty for the Toshiba speaks more about the quality and the reliability over anothr mechanical HDDs burst speeds.

LoL and there wont be any FPS decrease because of that. Things dont work that way. I can wait a few seconds more for loadups if my HDD offer me 3 years warranty and quality!!! Wont you?

FPS decrease no.... but knowing when your drive will conk? not so sure... ill still stick with Seagate

there is no such thing as a security you do realize that right? even the toshiba hdd can conk every 2 days..

add to that support for seagate is much better here

I think you didn't get what Incinerator was suggesting. Your HDD might be dead in two days, might be after 1 and half years. Now in the later case, if you go with Seagate, you've to get a new HDD whereas in case of Toshiba, you will get a new HDD for free, right?

i understood that totally. what i am saying is that toshiba is not a popular brand in india and somehow failure rate of seagate harddrives is pretty low. so..... anyways who wants a 3 year warranty? by the mid of next year it will be cheaper to buy an ssd than a hdd..
