Both are almost the same, with ripjawsx performing a little better.
Also 4GB*2 kit will give you double the bandwidth than 8GB*1

Buddy, Dual Channel configuration does not provide double bandwidth in real time and in most cases the performance improvement is marginal. Also I've suggested him a single 8GB ram for a reason...try to understand that. The Motherboard I've suggested has two memory channels and getting two 4GB Ram sticks will eliminate the addition of extra Ram without selling the older modules. On the other hand, a single 8GB will let OP upgrade in future by keeping one slot unoccupied.

He can get the single RipjawX 8GB module too, currently retailing at 3.1K. Ripjaw overclocks slightly better than Vengeance but the stock performance is same.

Okay, didn't see that the OP shifted from i3 to A10. So now all the more reason to get Ripjawsx A10 performance increases as ram frequency increases, OP will over clock then I guess.
8GB * 1 is fine, but I doubt anybody would need more than 8GB memory, at least for the next 5 years.

Not at all, you can't predict what will happen in actually next year. Actually as the Ram modules are becoming cheaper, software developers are also opting for their software to take advantage higher memory use for providing better performance. Initially the idea was almost opposite, software used to be developed to minimize memory usage as memory prices were costlier on those days.
Use Photoshop, Visual Studio 2010 and you will find out that they can take advantage of 8GB memory, not all the time but they can. So next five year..........it is a far cry to predict anything.
