What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Gaming. Modern titles like BF3, SKYRIM,
Assasins creed, MMO's like firefall and other new upcoming titles like neverwinter.
2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:40k (+ 3k-4 k if necessary,)

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 7 x64

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500GB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Need a 20 inch HD monitor Max

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: headset, Speakers,
webcam

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: By the end of this month.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Will be assembled.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: I live in kerala, cochin. Mostly buying locally

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans:AMD or intel. As i dont know much of the performance difference between AMD and INTEL. Only condition is it should be faster enough to play some modern games with decent fps And future proof to an extent.

@Sainatarajan: thank you for the configuration.
I think i may use the pc for 2-3 days straight, so is the cabinet and cooling enough??.
And isnt BE versions mostly for OC ing?.
And also i might go for 6850 Max, nothing above that.

Why do you want to go wid HD 6850 when GTX 560 ti and HD 7850 is in ur budget ?

Cabinet is just a local cabinet from ZEBRONICS or Frontech or iball etc. For cooling you can buy some 2 or 3 fans.

Dude, you are suggesting 20'' non-HD (i.e. 1600x900) monitor with HD7850? And also a generic cabinet for HD7850 & 970? :lol:

But if you could please squeeze in a dvdw and a UPS .And also i would love to see an AMD config too. Just that the total price shouldnt exeed 43-44k(Its a hard limit).

Buddy,U can choose the CPU and MB from sainatrajan's conf or U can go for a X4 965 BE or 955 be along with that MB.Since U intend to play on HD res the CPU will not be a bottleneck and an AMD CPU will be enough IMO.so,What really matter is the GPU.HD 7850 is the best bang for buck GPU for playing in HD res and people have overclocked it to 40% to gain extra performance and if u dont want to spend 15000 on GPU u can opt for a HD 6850 OC also but its a previous gen Gpu but beats the HD 7770 in many games.So IMO u should choose the Amd CPU and save that money on a good GPU like 7850.btw i also from kerala :D

Then buy the motherboard & processor suggested by Sainatarajan (AMD setup) and buy Intex/APC 600Va UPS from the money (i.e 3.2K) saved by buying that AMD config.

On the CPU side which is better(not overclocking and good performance)
AMD Phenom 2 X4 970 BE (I thought BE was more for OCing, is it correct??)
AMD Phenom II X6 1075T
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T

And also please suggest me a Good UPS and keyboard-mouse :)

That selected motherboard can't handle 1075T due to it 3+1 power phase design.

ABout processor: Look into 960T. It is unlockable to 6 core processor.

Does unlocking of 960T have 100% chance ?
So amoung those 4 processor which do u think is better for a non OC er. In anandtech 970BE was better. And in passmark 1075T was better.... really confused lol.

960T have chance of unlocking, but its far from 100%
