Hey Guys I Just Want To Ask That I Am Using Bsnl Mobile Connection And Its Gprs And Getting Speed Of 5.5 Kbps Can V Get More Than That Means In Airtel Or In Some Other. . . . .

EDGE (that is Enhanced GPRS) provides better speed than GPRS provided your service provider provides this service and you use EDGE enabled handset. If the signal quality is good you should get around 120kbps(=15KBps) using EDGE

It depends on your cell and also the time of browsing...I get up to 15kb/s in the morning (aroung8am)...Using 6233 with Airtel...

Well,,i wanted 2 kno abt 3G...
will i get near broadband speeds if 3G is provided by my operator and if
my cell supports it? Is there any extra charge for 3G?

first of all thanks for the replies an now i am more confused as v check the specs of a phone, let it be on gsmarena.com the say GPRS class 10(32 - 48 )kbps that makes 48 kbps the max speed possible so how can we get about 120 kbps on a gprs correct me please . . . .thanks again . . . .
