opening of network folder from web page

how to open a shared folder from web page. I have used the java onclick code but some of the internet explorer browser showing access denied error when clicking on the link.

please help.

i am quoting an example from my lan

just put this in the address bar of browser file://anurag-pc/muziic/

but when you download you will get very slow speeds compared to LAN speeds

this example doesnt work with href command in html.
i want to make a link so that when user clicks they get the folder opened

Sorry thought that you were trying to access it via an application... Due to wrong section
