Hi Guys,

A few days go I posted a PC Builder Thread.

DesCom Systems is my startup, same like DigitalStorm,NCIX PC. etc. Instead of ordering single components online you can order a full fledged ready to plug-n-play PC. I've kept the prices low on par with FK and SD(there is very little profit in this business :-( ). If you feel something is overpriced reply to this thread or email me at support@descom.in . My main aim is to beat Finchclaw which deals in similar offerings.

Please note this website is not scam as one of the members here stated. Currently I'm in the process of setting up the payment gateway(which ofcourse requires legal documents :) ). I know many people don't trust new websites so I have enabled Cash on Delivery as well. Special care will be taken to ship such expensive consignments.

For all the techies here you can use this pc builder for building your pc online.

Feel free to reply to this thread with your suggestion :). It will be an honor serving you.

P.S- If everything goes well, I'll start selling individual components too.

Special care will be taken for packaging. Multiple layers of bubble wrap, foam peanuts, thermocol etc. Special foam peanuts and thermocol packaging will be provided inside for the components + transit insurance. Still if anything goes bad a full refund/replacement will be provided. :)

if you do all that, the static generated will make everything go kaput. I won't recommend shipping with the components assembled and even if you ship assembled, what about the boxes? many people will want the boxes too.

Don't worry dude. The foam and BW is anti-static. And if you want boxes, a simple email will do the job!

All the best from my side. A very good endeavor. Consider testing your systems for Linux compatibility as well.

NOTE:
Please test your website in as many browsers as possible at various resolutions. It is weird for me with Firefox Nightly and FullHD on PCLinuxOS (current config)
I see the CPU choice which should have been right at the top appear in the bottom.

Reason being your target customers will be carefully watching you and first impression definitely needs to be good.

Correction: There is no CPU selection option at all in custom builder. (I was talking about custom build in the above post) However I think I saw it while browsing using Firefox Beta for Android but still at an odd place.

What do you mean by 'complimentary' Windows OS - pirated?

Great initiative dude! Even I used to think of opening something like this but I was(and still am) too young to start a business.

Now the website is looking good at such an early stage but it isn't as polished as your competitor's website that you posted. Try working on a more slicker design and as stated before do ensure compatibility on multiple platforms if possible. Also do have the product link or description of the product one is selecting for their build along with proper images. Good luck :)

-The PC builder takes few seconds to load after the webpage has loaded. On mobile phone, the pc builder appears below the image. Can you attach a screenshot so I can address the problem.
- Yes 'complimentary' means pirated since everyone don't buy genuine OS. :p :lol:

DON'T. JUST DON'T. use Linux instead of *ahem* windows. or use DOS if people don't want Linux. ask the customers about which OS they want and don't use anything pirated.

I haven't checked that website but here are some things I would want-

> option for including LED strips (whats the point of getting an assembled PC online if its gonna be just another assembled PC?)

> You can make a deal with Microsoft and provide OEM version of OS. That will be cheap too.
