Create a new user from "Control Panel -> User Accounts" and boot using this new account. It should solve the problem.

Yes, Im not getting the problem with the new account.

Is there any way I can import all the settings of my current a/c into the new one so that I can continue with this and delete the current one?

Thx for the help!

U can try this method though I'm not sure whether it'll work or not:

Suppose ur new account name is "New_Acc" and older account name is "Old_Acc".

1. Goto "C:\Documents and Settings\Old_Acc" folder and copy a file "NTUSER.DAT" and paste at some secure location.

2. Goto "C:\Windows\Repair" folder and copy "NTUSER.DAT" file and paste in the previous mentioned folder "C:\Documents and Settings\Old_Acc". It'll ask to overwrite existing file, accept it.

3. Now log off and log into "Old_Acc". Now windows will create a new "NTUSER.DAT" file in "C:\Documents and Settings\Old_Acc" folder.

4. Again Log off and log into "New_Acc".

5. Copy the backed up "NTUSER.DAT" file (which we did in Step1) and paste it in "C:\Documents and Settings\Old_Acc" folder.

Pls read all steps carefully and do the same. It should help u. :)

PS: NTUSER.DAT file will be Hidden.
