I need a laptop price range 45000 to 55000
i5 3rd gen
13.3 - 14" antiglare
weight around 2kg
Work with word and excel.
Windows 7 professional prefered.

Models I liked are

Sony Vaio SVE14116GNB - i5(3rd gen), 4gb RAM, 500 gb HDD, W7Pro-64bit, 2.4kg
Sony Vaio SVS13112ENB - i5(3rd gen), 4gb RAM, 500 gb HDD, W7HB-64bit, 1.72kg

Does the operating system make such a difference? I mean I will install MS office on both and start
working. the SVS is 1.7kg only but the screen is very thin and delicate:-( , yet it is antiglare :).
Any body have any advice?

W7 editions (Pro or Homebasic) wont have a difference in installing softwares, unless the OS is 32-bit or 64-bit.

I bought the SVS13112ENB.
The selling point was the weight and slimness.
It also has a slot in dvd drive like macbook pro.
The keyboard is backlit and in dark it is really
great to work or play.
The display is antiglare matte and really pleasing to use
even extended use.
The keyboard ...I need to get used to as it is soft but
different than my chicklet desktop keyboard. The
Thinkpad x220 was awesome to type on.
The Sony people should have given recovery disks though,
especially the software separate from OS.
Recovery from the partition did not work.
Recovery from dvds ...and they have to be of Sony make,
takes 2 1/2 to 3 hrs.
Over all a nice laptop.
