Hey guys my friend wants to build a rig for his dad to use at office. It won't run any super heavy tasks. Just accountancy related stuff. No games either. So, no discrete GPU is required. Anyway, here are the answers for the template.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: No games. Microsoft Office, Internet Browsing.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 20K. Max is 22K.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 7

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500 GB Max

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: 19"/20" with 1600x900

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: None

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Within a week or two

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Have experience building desktops

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Bangalore. Open to both local and online shops.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans:
The following components would be bought,
CPU, Mobo, RAM, HDD, Optical Drive, Cabinet, PSU, Monitor, KB+Mouse
It'd be better if more emphasis is placed on a better CPU as it'd make the PC last a bit longer. Thanks in advance.

^^Thanks. What disadvantage does G2010 have against G645 other than 0.1GHz clock rate that makes it much cheaper in spite of better 22nm architecture?
Is WD's ASS better than Seagate's?
If he's ready to spend more to get a mobo with USB 3 and SATA 3, which mobo would you recommend? Is Gigabyte B75M-D3H good enough?

I think G2010 is better performing than G645 although it is clocked 100 MHz lesser.

1 )G 2010 is better due to 1)run 3-4 % faster than g645 2)supports 1333mhz ram 3)consumes 10w less power.

2)Yes wd after sale service is one of the best and better than seagate

3)Yep b75 -d3h mobo is good choice.

Hey, thanks guys. Will consider the suggestions. Is IN1930 a decent monitor if he wants a bit smaller one? 1366x768 is okay for him. (In case he wants to save some money)

Dell IN2030M is available at Local Stores for approx <6K
so, why go for 19 incher ?
and you have it within your budget :)

edit - go for IN1930 if the In2030M runs out of the Budget
