I recently installed norton sys works06 trial version in the partition c: of my hdd which is the win xp os partition. It is a 20 GB partition and it had 14.5 GB free space before install of nsw06. But after installing nsw06, the symantec folder(in application data folder) in documents and settings folder occupied 14.2GB leaving 300mb free space on the partition. This is causing pop up warnings saying disk is running low on space. Plz tell me how to solve this prob and y did the symantec folder in docs and settings occupy 14.2gb where as the rest in that folder have not??

Install and run SequoiaView.

Scan C: with it and it will show you which file is taking hugh space. I suspect it to be some log file, my MS AntiSpyware log file used to take upto 2 GBs.

o u do , do u ?
why do u post when u cant help the thread starter ?

articflare just start norton and goto the view quarantine files
then delete them all
then goto the folder and manually delete any remanin files

why do this ?
so that if norton deletes it it deletes the threat and itself knows that there are no more quarantine files left
then why manually delete ?
just in case norton wasnt able to delete some files ... OR they are quarantine files from a previous installation , u can still get rid of them
