No use of Headphone...Pplease help me to resolve

I recently bought a New Laptop...HP COMPAQ PRESARIO C700, and I foudn one problem that never occurred to me before.

When I plug in my headphone and play a music, the music, ofcourse comes from the headphone but funniest part is the sound comes from the Laptop Sound box too....I tried every possibilities, but could not locate from where to configure it.....Please guys, help me......

Which OS r u using ? Go to contol panel and check sound properties and in that click headphones
